League Tables rank University

The University of Southampton  ranked 17th in the most recent Times Higher Education ‘Table of Tables’. It was ranked 11th amongst the Russell Group universities included.

The table combines results from The Guardian University Guide, The Complete University Guide  and The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide in which Southampton placed 16th, 17th and 21st respectively.

The results show a three place slip from last year, when it ranked 14th in the ‘Table of Tables’. This year it was beaten to this position by the University of Birmingham, who scored 10 points more.

However, the University has maintained its top 100 status in the most recent global league tables. It was placed 87th in the 2016/2017 QS World Rankings. It also ranked 16th amongst the UK universities listed in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2016/2017.
