James SloninaIt’s finally happened. The infamous student town of Portswood is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
The people in charge at Snapchat have decided that Portswood; home of a Sainsburys, Roosters, and even a Greggs, deserves to be celebrated with its own banner.
The banner itself is a bold combination of red and black, colours often associated with Coca-Cola and power possibly in an attempt to reflect the commercialised depression that is apparent in Portswood.
The soft bubble writing and white outline however manages to counteract this, suggesting the silver lining that surrounds every cloud, most likely because of Portswood’s excellent variety of ice-cream parlours.
