A University of Southampton student has died after falling from a student block at Liberty Quays Halls.

According to reports by the Daily Echo, the 20 year-old male may have fallen around 60ft from one of the high rise complexes.

Paramedics tried to save the student before taking him to Southampton General Hospital, where he later died from his injuries

The cause of the fall is as of yet unknown. The Soton Tab is waiting on a police report to reveal further details on the tragic death of our fellow student.
