You can now pay for drinks at the bar with your card in Jesters.
Great news for all those who dread the trip to Tesco petrol station just to get cash out. Bad news for our overdrafts.
There is a catch though, there is a £1.50 charge for using your card and there is a minimum spend of £10.
Nicolas Green, Jesters manager, told us:
We’ve been trying to have a card machine installed in Jesters for quite some time now.
But they haven’t always been keen, Nick went on to say:
We were against the idea of taking card at the bar at first because it slows things down but not being able to get a cash box installed left us no choice.

We spoke to Jesters regular, Joe Rosi, to see what he thinks about the news:
Big stuff. Could cause a bit of aggro when you’ve had a few and check your money the next day. Might cause drama.
