A man was stabbed in broad daylight on Portswood Road as he entered his place of work.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an 18 year old man was assaulted outside his place of work on the busy Portswood Road, believed to be near the corner of Gordon Avenue. The local man was attacked at around 9am on Wednesday 12th March.

The victim was assaulted by two men who have both been described as black, wearing black beanie hats and scarves covering their faces.

The man sustained lacerations to his arm and body as a result of the attack and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.

Police have stated that it is not yet clear what weapon was used in the assault. The Daily Echo reports that witnesses claim to have seen the victim knifed a number of times.
