Hartley Library will now open for 24 hours a day over the summer exam period this year.

The library will be open for 24 hours a day, 6 days a week in a pilot period for this summer’s exam season. Hartley Library staff were successful in their bid for funding from the University’s Education Enhancement Fund to run the pilot scheme.

VP Education, David Mendoza-Wolfson who campaigned for a 24 hour library said:

The library usage survey showed that most students wanted extended opening hours. With all of that done, we’re now confident that the library will be going ahead with a 6 week trial over the summer exam period of 24 hour opening for 6 days a week.

All other libraries will not have extended opening hours during the pilot period.
