A female jogger was the victim of a sexual attack while out running near Southampton Common.

The woman, who is in her early 20s, was approached by the attacker while she was running along a path next to Cemetery Road at 8:30am yesterday morning. The man indecently assaulted the woman before she was able to escape and seek help from a passer-by.

The attacker has been described as a white man in his mid 30s, about 5 ft 10 ins tall and of average build. He had short brown hair and stubble and was wearing a baggy navy blue jumper with a white sports logo in the middle and navy blue trousers at the time of the incident.
