AnonA man has been stabbed this afternoon near McDonalds on Burgess Road.
A 37-year-old man was found lying on the ground near the car park and was rushed to hospital soon after by medics after being stabbed in the abdomen. Police have shut Burgess Road close to the scene.

The incident happened at about 2.10pm outside a house.
Inspector Mark Foster of Hampshire Constabulary told the Echo:
A 35-year-old man has been stabbed in the abdomen with a knife. A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police believe the man’s injuries are not life threatening and nobody else was hurt in the incident. A 45 year old man has been arrested.
Anyone with information should contact Southampton police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
