Each week we’ll be introducing a member from one of Southampton’s AU clubs answering our quick fire questions.

Name: Remi Thiede-Palmer.

Degree programme:  Mechanical engineering.

Position in Club: Social Sec.

Best chat up line? Once you go black, you’re gunna need a wheel chair.

Best memory from a night out? I try not to remember, it’s just easier that way.

At a movie theatre, which armrest do you consider as yours? Both, the seat in front is a footrest.

Abiding memory of Freshers’ week? Chunder dragon on Jesters balcony, it was beautiful.

Favourite Sobar toilet man saying? No wash no nosh!

Jesters or Sobar? Jesturz 4 lyf.

Stags or Hobbit? Stags for sure, ideal for a drink between lectures, plus they show NFL on Sundays.

Liam Neeson vs Jason Bourne in a fight? Liam Neeson trained batman, saved 1000 Jews from the Nazis, led the Gods against the titans and led the A team, the answer is clear.

Stick or twist? Stick I guess.

Soton Tab or Wessex Scene? Soton Tab 4 lyf!

Team nickname? Oreo…You’ll understand why when you meet me.

Club’s best achievement? National Champions 1992, 1993, 2006 and 2008.

How can our readers identify your club/team on a night out? We usually go out with our shoulder pads and helmets, Jesters dance floor is dangerous.

Unusual fact about your club? We have mandatory team showers after games, we’re all really close.

Trademark social? A few drinks at clowns then roll ourselves down Jesters’ stairs.

When do you play? We play on Sundays, kick off is usually around 1.

Why should I join in no more than 15 words?  Great sport, solid team and good laughs but above all, we play to win.

One word to describe you? Committed.

One word to describe Southampton? Decent.

One word to describe your club? Focused.

If somebody offered you a million pounds to be your mum or dad, would you take it, and if so, to be which one? I’d be my dad, otherwise who would feed me?
