Lucy DyerA man has been charged for sexually assaulting a 16 year old girl near Avenue Campus and the Common.
The attacker, Nathan Daniel Jones, is 31 and from Howard Road in Southampton. He has been charged with sexual assault.
The assault happened on Tuesday 20th August; the man was arrested on Wednesday 28th August but bailed and further arrested on Friday 30th August.
Nathan Jones attended Southampton Central police station and requested to speak to detectives. He appeared before Southampton Magistrates on Saturday 31st August and was remanded in custody to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday 24th September.
