AnonUPDATE, 17:30 11/07: Police have named the cyclist as Robert Lee, a 23-year-old Southampton man from Millbrook Road West. No arrests have been made.
A male cyclist has today been killed in a collision with a car on Thomas Lewis Way, Portswood.
Police are investigating the incident where the cyclist is believed to have collided with a black Audi A3 at the junction of Belgrave Road near the Belgrave Industrial Estate.
The cyclist was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries, where he was pronounced dead. It is unknown yet whether the young man was a student.
The male driver of the Audi was unharmed.

The incident took place at 2.19pm today and police are appealing for any witnesses and information which could help them with their investigation. Anyone with information should call Hampshire Police on 101.
