Morrisons M is essentially a smaller, more local version of the shop. The news comes not long after us hearing that a Morrisons will also be opening in Shirley.

The convenience store should create between 15 to 20 jobs and will hopefully bring more footfall through Portswood. Morrisons are planning on putting an emphasis on their fresh foods to compete with rival stores.
What is now Waitrose was once upon a time a Morrisons, and a Safeway in between. Let’s hope Morrisons has more luck this time!
Although it has not been confirmed as the company have yet to reveal the exact location of the store, an application notice on the former Blockbuster windows to sell alcohol from 6am till midnight all week would suggest that 133 Portswood Road will soon to be the new home of a Morrisons M, however, no planning permission has been submitted yet.
