AnonThis afternoon a fire broke out the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) in Southampton Docks.
Witnesses report 7 fire engines at the scene and there is an incident at one of the external storage buildings. Smoke was seen pouring out of one of the metal stores and those outside the NOC have said the situation looks under control.
Fire crews extinguished the small fire at 4:30 and nobody was hurt.
The NOC is home to the School of Ocean and Earth Sciences and is a NERC research centre.
