VP Student Communities candidate Jessica Taylor has withdrawn from the election, citing personal reasons.

Jessica was widely seen as an outsider and her stopping her campaign will leave Winchester without any candidate for a sabbatical position.

This leaves the VP Student Communities race with just two runners, James Brant and Oli Coles. Both have addressed sites issues in their manifestos but naturally questions will be raised about whether SUSU can adequately serve the Winchester campus without a student from the site on the sabbatical team.

SUSU president Sam Ling praised her efforts, telling The Tab:

Elections is a highly pressured process, and even putting yourself forward is to me impressive.”

We would like to wish Jessica all the best with her future endeavours.
