Building 27 (Chemistry) has currently been evacuated following an unscheduled fire alarm.

Crowds emerging from the lecture theatres within are being directed to wait behind the library for further instruction.

Sneaking past security, who are currently blocking all entrances to the building, The Tab found that it is all a false alarm, set off by contractors.

A student told the Tab:

I can’t believe the University plan construction in the most important and stressful time of the student year!

The question then remains – Should the university tolerate contractor errors at such an important time for students? Last year we had the downtime of Sussed, and now student’s final revision lectures are being disrupted.

Will they ever just let us study in peace?
