Southampton University has admitted its youngest ever student to enrol today as thousands of school leavers received their A Level results.
FOURTEEN YEAR OLD Wajih Ahmed has bagged a spot at Southampton to study Economics this September. As reported in the Daily Echo, the maths genius knew he would make the cut and collected his A*s in Maths and Further Maths today and an A in Chemistry last year. He also scooped an A at AS Physics.
Despite Wajih being allowed to study at the University there are doubts as to whether he will be able to partake in the full ‘uni experience’; for the majority of his three-year undergraduate course he won’t legally be able to step foot in Jesters. Whilst coursemates will be out sampling Sobar triples and partaking in messy nights at the Palace of Dreams, Wajih will be unable to enjoy the delights (and consequences) of the Jesticle.
Wajih, of Eastleigh, has aspirations of becoming an actuary and has spent only two hours a day studying.
Do you think Wajih should study at Southampton? Will he get the full uni experience?
