In the early hours of this morning Southampton’s thin blue line foiled a pair of arsonists.
Two men were arrested on Granby Grove, a stone’s throw from Highfield campus, on suspicion of arson and criminal damage. It appears they were caught on the small path between Granby Grove and Broadlands Road.
An eyewitness reports the two men having “big coils of rope”, it is not yet understood why they had this equipment. It is also not yet known what they tried to set on fire.
