Portsmouth. The 91 – 54 score line reflects the gulf in class between the two universities various sporting teams and capped off a hugely successful tournament.
The Cricket, Rugby, Basketball, Rowing and Squash teams set the standard with all of their teams managing victories. The rest of the board was fairly evenly split with Football and Fencing the only real areas of Portsmouth dominance.
Southampton’s 100% record is still intact making it 3 victories out of 3 varsity tournaments. Southampton have shown once again that they are a force to be reckoned with and are undoubtedly the university to beat on the South Coast.
