STREET DANCE FLASH-MOB KICK-START CAMPAIGN WEEK

The Street Dance Society shock election teams with a flash-mob dance performance on the concourse.

They sure love to whip their hair back and forth.

Election campaigning got off to a flash start this week with the University’s Street Dance Society and other dance societies shocking the campaign teams with a flash-mob dance routine in the centre of the concourse.

An estimated 30-40 dancers took part in the flash-mob which lasted over 10 minutes to tracks such as YMCA and Whip My Hair by Willow Smith.

Even some novices joined in.

The election week runs through to Thursday the 3rd of March with candidates running for positions such as Union President, Sports Development VP, and Communications VP.

With campaigning just beginning there is no doubt still plenty of unusual events to look forward to on the concourse in the coming days. Some of the scheduled events include Hustings, 1-3pm on the concourse and the Presidential Debate, 12-2pm in the Cube.
