No More Thugs in Portswood – Give Us More Street Lighting
More street lighting will mean more criminals will get caught and put behind bars where they belong.
Chris HoughtonOver the past months there have been numerous crimes in Portswood, including the STABBING of a girl on Gordon Avenue outside her house, and a group of students being beaten with CHAINS.
A petition has been organised by Emma Lester of the Lib Dems society for members of all political groups, campaigning for more street lighting. Hundreds of students have already signed to show their support.
Last month several men with dogs threatened and chased a French man
There have also been a number of burglaries of homes and a supermarket in Portswood – something has to be done.
The local MP’s already have ‘reducing crime in Portswood’ as one of their main policies, so lets make sure they do.
