Tank forced to close early after an alleged stabbing on Sunday morning

The injuries are not thought to be serious

The popular Sheffield club Tank was forced to shut its doors early this Sunday morning following an alleged stabbing that took place in or around the venue.

The incident occurred around 3:45am, in which a man, 31, suffered suspected stab wounds. He was taken to hospital and received treatment, although his injuries are not believed to be serious.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police told The Sheffield Tab: "Two men, aged 23 and 20, were arrested by police on suspicion of assault. They have been bailed pending further enquiries."

The club, situated on Arundel Gate, was hosting Solid Grooves that night, alongside Dennis Cruz, Pawsa and Eddy P. However, according to various sources, at least one act was forced to cancel due to the events that had forced the closure.

The Sheffield Tab have contacted Tank for comment.
