Single in Sheffield? Applications for the new series of First Dates are open

Swap blue pints for true love

Sick of being single in Sheffield? None of the locals on Tinder taking your fancy? Want to come back home to something more than what's left of the Aslan's kebab you bought on your way home?

Well Channel 4 have you covered, as auditions are now open for the next series of the award-winning series First Dates.

Since its launch, the show has seen hundreds of couples walk through the doors of the famous restaurant, with some going the distance. One couple have even brought the world's first ever First Dates baby into the world.

The show's Maître d', Fred Sirieix, has become famous in his own right

The casting call for the show reads:

"First Dates is a documentary series that helps contributors find a partner from a pool of other singletons and captures the highs and lows of first dates on camera. Each episode will feature a number of intimate first dates.

"Discreet cameras will record the date from start to finish – from first impressions, through all the awkward, heart-warming and funny moments, to the end of the date and the discussion about whether or not a second date is on the cards.

"If you’re looking for love, apply now by completing and submitting the application form."

So if you're wanting a relationship in the new uni year, or are just keen to pick up some of Fred's seemingly endless wisdom about life, apply now for the show.
