Local Sheffield favourites Junglist Alliance will be making an appearance, alongside sound systems Sinai Sound, DnB Junglists and Luv Injection.

66-year-old Rodigan is still as sharp as ever with his live selections, and currently touring to celebrate 40 years in the music industry.

He counts Shaggy among his fans, and has played a key role in keeping the reggae flame burning and increasing the popularity of the genre on in Britain and more widely.

The night will be taking place across the whole of Area, with prominent reggae artist Tippa Irie, who found fame in its golden years in the eighties and nineties, appearing alongside Rodigan in the main arena.

Stylo G, Unitone, Mikey Dee and Sinai Sound round off the main arena line up, while renowned jungle selector Nicky Blackmarket tops the bill among the jungle and drum 'n' bass artists playing.

The top floor ‘Bruk Out’ arena hosts some of the best UK sound systems including Luv Injection from Birmingham, V Rocket Sound from Nottingham and Sheffield's own Bizzy.

A large undercover smoking area will be on offer at the event, featuring market stalls, an outdoor bar and Caribbean cuisine.

£15 tickets for the party have already sold out, with £20 and £25 tickets on sale here.
