A 34-year-old man from Sheffield was arrested on Wednesday night on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Investigating officer Paul Kazimierczyk said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was around Sheffield station just before 8.30pm last night. You may have information which could prove vital.
“We would particularly like to talk to anyone who may have dash cam footage – there would have been a number of taxis around at this time.

“Thankfully incidents of this nature are rare, and we have a number of officers working on this investigation. It is believed the victim and the suspect were known to each other and this was not a random attack.”
