It comes after one of the candidates ‘breached conduct’
Marie-Elise WorswickIt's just been announced that the candidate who's won the role of Education Officer will not be announced tonight due to a "breach of conduct" by one of the candidates.
It's been announced that the candidate breached the rules of the elections, and that this was to do with their behaviour, not expenses. An example of this would be due to intimidating voters, though this hasn't been confirmed if that's the case.
The announcement has therefore been delayed, as returning officers were unable to recalculate the votes in time.
Candidates who were in the running for the role of education officer were George Bunn, Amber (Xinwen Zhang), Chris Olewicz and Anna Crump Raiswell.
