Breaking: Student house raided by police in Crookesmoor
An eyewitness saw one of the students get arrested
A Sheffield student was allegedly arrested following a police raid this morning, with one eyewitness speculating that it appeared to be a drugs raid.
According to a student who watched the raid unfold, three vans and five unmarked police cars arrived at the house before around 15 police officers raided the property on Spring View Road in Crookesmoor.
The student eyewitness told The Tab: "Me and my friend were just stood in the kitchen watching the police break down their back door. It looked like a well-organised drugs bust."
The raid comes six months after a similar bust on a house on Ecclesall Road in which a 23-year-old man was arrested.
We've contacted South Yorkshire Police and will update the story once we have more information.
