Marie-Elise WorswickCrookesmoor has been voted by you as the best student area to live in. The Sheffield suburb, with its magnificent Sainsbury's and brand new McColl's newsagents, took the crown with 32 per cent of the vote.
Following closely behind was the fresher village of Broomhill, followed by Crookes, then Ecclesall Road, and finally the City Centre.
Crookesmoor is fond in the hearts and memories of many Sheffield students, being the social hub of many pre-drinks parties and post-night out takeaway experiences (Pizza Mania – we love you!).
For any freshers looking out to live here next year, our advice is to get looking sharpish as the bigger houses sell out fast, especially those closer to Uni.
With its excellent choice of pubs and corner shops, as well as its locality to Uni, could you really choose to live anywhere other than Crookesmoor?
