BNOC of the Year 2017: Where is she now?

She’s been kicked out of WSL three times this year

After over 2,000 of you voted for her to be crowned BNOC of the Year 2017 back in May, we caught up with Sheffield Zoology student, Merry Rogerson, to see if she's still a slave to the sesh.

Over the summer, she cycled to Rome with some friends, which she says is one of the best things she's ever done. Along the way, she was escorted off Princess Anne's land by armed police, got arrested for shaving her legs in a fountain in Milan, and was fined 140 Euros for vomming on a cathedral after a heavy night on the vino. She summed it up as: "Just cycling and getting bladdered."

Other highlights include breaking into a local festival for the weekend by stealthily climbing a fence every night, getting wavey at Boomtown, and having to break into her own house when she got home, as her parents had gone on holiday and forgotten to leave a key.

Since September, she and her beloved pet mouse have moved into a house with a slide and a fire pit in the garden – a perfect place for a house party (we're waiting for our invite). She says she's mellowed slightly, having only been kicked out of West Street Live three times this year for minesweeping.

Although, she did down a cup of piss one morning, mistaking it for water. Nice one.

When she's not binning pints, she's out smashing it at life in general: she ran the Nottingham half marathon the weekend after Freshers' Week with a friend, and says she's really enjoying uni work, as well as getting some runs and bike rides in.

Merry, we salute you.
