The Night Kitchen to return to old venue for two more nights

It follows on from the cancellation of three events at their new venue

It was a sad day last February when legendary Sheffield venue, The Night Kitchen, announced that it would be closing for good in June. However, this was followed by a sigh of relief at the news that the same team would be opening a new venue in time for this uni year.

Fans flocked to the original TNK closing parties in June to say one final goodbye. This week, it was announced that it will return to the original venue for Bluewave on the 21st October and Off Me Nut Halloween Special on the 27th October.

The reason for the move is that there have been a number of issues with the new venue. It is situated near Attercliffe, making it difficult for students to get to. It also does not accept card payments and has ATM machines anywhere nearby.

The first sign that the new venue, called Outside Over There, was experiencing problems, was the cancellation of one of its opening nights. Since then, two more nights have had to be cancelled.

It is yet to be seen what will happen to Outside Over There. Mall Grab is booked for the weekend after Halloween, but it is unknown whether this will be at the new venue or the old one.

Whilst it's a shame that the new venue has not quite taken off, at least there's time for another last dance at the original TNK.
