The uni computer system was down again last night and people went nuts

There were apocalyptic scenes in the IC

The computer system across campus has gone down yet again as we find ourselves bang in the middle of assessment deadline season.

Students found themselves unable to access MUSE, and weren’t even able to log into university computers to do their work.

One disgruntled student, who has assignments due in this week and who prefers to remain anonymous told us: “CiCs can shove their stupid system up their arse”.

Another angry student said: “First Donald Trump, and now this! What is the world coming to?”

What a bloody nightmare

It comes less than 24 hours since MOLE closed down for six hours for ‘scheduled maintenance’, and those who’ve been at the university for a year will remember this isn’t the first time the computer system has gone down at such a crucial time.

As you can imagine, the university campus descended into scenes of horror as those who choose to leave their work until the last minute found themselves in a panicked frenzy as they tried every computer in the IC with no luck.

Library staff also found themselves being subjected to ranting students. The poor staff had nowhere to turn, and were bamboozled by the situation they found themselves in on a Sunday night, but nonetheless kept in high spirits trying to explain to everyone the situation and remaining helpful.

The advice coming from university staff is to email tutors and explain the situation to them if assignments are unable to be handed in on time due to the hiccup.
