ROAR is hosting a Harambe themed night tomorrow

RIP

Sport societies’ favourite union night, ROAR, will be hosting “ROAR for Harambe” tomorrow night in memory of  2016’s most iconic gorilla

Harambe’s death took the world by storm in May when the innocent animal was shot dead after a three year old fell into the enclosure with him. Since then, Harambe has been the subject of many internet memes as well as a vigil in Weston Park two weeks ago.

ROAR promise a night filled with “Harambe masks, bananas sweets and inflatables” and will also be raising money for the Gorilla Foundation.

A member of the rugby league team, who will be going tomorrow dressed as a banana, said “I think it’s fabulous that the Union are paying their respects to Harambe, God bless. It will be ROARsome.”

Tickets are available from the Union.
