The Cheeky Girls are coming to Plug

Don’t be shy, touch my bum

Following two-sevenths of S Club 7 hitting Carver Street last month, cheesy pop duo The Cheeky Girls are now to perform at Plug.

The Romanian-born pair, Gabriela and Monica, are sure to entertain at Spanked Tuesdays with a live performance of their No.2 classic ‘Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)’.

Certain to get everyone feeling extra cheeky, the noughties stars will also give you the chance to get up close and personal on Tuesday 15th November with a meet and greet.

Shooting to fame in 2002 on the same show that gave us Girls Aloud, the twin-sister’s single has sold more 1.2 million copies and was tragically voted the worst pop record of all time by Channel 4.

More recently, the girls have headlined Durham Pride, done the rounds on the nightclub circuit and Monica bagged an internship as an Network Rail receptionist for a documentary.

Prepared for that added level of cheekiness, Plug promises £1.50 double vodka mixer before midnight, T-shirt giveaways, UV face-painting and the famous spanked morph dancers.

Lizzie Grundy, History third year, who has been a big fan since the days of the Pop Party CD’s, said: “The Cheeky Girls coming to Sheffield is going to be the next best thing since sliced bread.

“It’s at Plug too, a freshers and childhood dream combined”.

Tickets are £4 and available here.
