Barber Road house burgled and car broken into in new wave of theft

Nine laptops and two phones were stolen

A house on Barber Road and a car on Crookesmoor road have been ransacked, forming two of many burglaries reported in Sheffield over the past week.

Despite all the internal doors being locked, the Barber Road house was broken into with nine laptops and two phones being stolen.

Geography second year, Megan Goodman’s car was broken into on Crookesmoor Road last Friday. Her wing mirror was stolen at first, then a couple of days later her back window was smashed in. The thieves ransacked the car and took everything of value, including her satnav and sound system.

Megan’s car was picked up by her parents and taken home, deeming it not a safe place to leave the car.
