A musical all about the bozo that is BoJo

‘Boris: The Musical’, a musical all about Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London and all-round buffoon, is set to be performed in Sheffield’s Foundry studio in November.

Written by Laurence Peacock and directed by Kyle Williams, it will include hits such as “Me and My Johnson”, “I’m talking about Brexit” and “BeLeave!” and is described as being a tragicomedy. It details the rise of the ‘politiclown’ Boris and promises something to laugh about in the tumultuous times.

Boris Johnson, currently acting as the Secretary of State for foreign affairs, was a prominent figure in the “vote leave” campaign is known for his eccentric hairdo and clownish bloopers. The man himself is to be played by David Raphael Burchhardt.

The performance is set for 26th November and will begin at 19:30. It’s already proved popular on Facebook, with hundreds of people sharing the event.
