New Botanist bar to open in Leopold Square

It will serve drinks in watering cans and food on trowels

A new bar and restaurant, The Botanist, is set to open this August, joining the likes of All Bar One and Wagamamma’s in Leopold square. It will cover the ground, first and second floors of a Grade II-listed building and feature an outdoor seating area.

The Botanist is the ninth chain in New World Trading Company’s collection, with other Botanist bars being dotted around the county in Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester, to name a few.

The bar specialises in ‘botanical’ drinks and food, serving sharing cocktails in watering cans and deli and rotisserie-style food on trowels.

Live music will be hosted every evening, but every Sunday there will be a change of pace with lazy afternoon sessions taking place.

The New World Trading Company’s managing director Chris Hill said: “We are incredibly excited to bring The Botanist concept to Sheffield.

“The character and atmosphere of Leopold Square is the perfect location for our brand and we look forward to making Sheffield our next home.”
