Man left with serious injuries after assault in Great Gatsby
Police are appealing for witnesses
Daisy CollingwoodPolice are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted inside The Great Gatsby bar on Division Street.
At around 12:30am on Saturday 23rd January it was reported that a 22-year-old man was assaulted by a man unknown to him in the bar.
He suffered serious injuries to the face and had to be taken to hospital for treatment. A 26-year-old man from Kent was arrested following the incident but has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
The assault happened inside The Great Gatsby
Officers are now asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Police are asking please call 101 quoting incident number 22 of 23 January 2016.
