A man has been stabbed outside Electric Box

He’s in a stable condition in hospital


A man was stabbed outside new club Electric Box this weekend.

The 34-year-old was stabbed in his chest between 3.50 and 4.50am in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He sustained a serious injury to the chest during the attack, and was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses. A South Yorkshire police spokesperson said:

“A 34-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by an unknown person near to the Electric Box nightclub.

“The 34-year-old suffered a serious stab wound to the chest that required hospital treatment.

“He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
“Enquiries into the assault are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the local area at the time of the incident.

“Did you witness the assault? Did you see any suspicious behaviour?”
