Sheffield has bagged Brit award winning Basement Jaxx as part of the latest line up for its notorious summer bender, Tramlines.

Basement Jaxx will be headlining the main stage on Saturday 25th July.

Other acts have also been announced including Erol Alkan, Surgeon and Jimmy Edgar.

This comes weeks after it was announced that Wu Tang Clan and The Buzzcocks would be headlining Tramlines on Sunday.

It was also revealed yesterday that the main stage has been moved from it’s usual Devonshire Green residing spot, to Ponderosa Park in Neatherthope, a venue much closer to Crookes.

English Literature third year Harry Downes said: “Tramlines is Sheffield’s answer to Notting Hill Carnival. Better in fact, no southerners. I’m especially hyped up for Basement Jaxx, they’ll smash it”

Weekend tickets are still available at £30 a pop from uni, The Harley, The O2 Academy and Leadmill.
