The Tramlines line up has been announced

If you were born in 1950 you’ll probably love it

Obligatory post exams piss-up Tramlines is being headlined by The Sugarhill Gang, Buzzcocks, Martha Reeves and Billy Bragg, from the 24th-26th July.

Martha Reeves and The Sugarhill Gang will be headlining the main stage on Devonshire Green on the Saturday, followed by Buzzcocks on the Sunday. The Sunday will also see Billy Bragg performing at regular club haunt Leadmill.

Revellers can enjoy classics from the headliners such as “Jump On It”, “Ever Fallen In Love?” and “Dancing In The Street”, very reminiscent of the Friday night West Street Live playlist.

Other acts at the alternative inner city festival include Walls, Tropics and Gulf.

After last year’s lineup of Katy B, The Cribs, and Toddla T, this year’s offering may be a little more vintage, but the weekend will still be a right of passage for many.

Tramlines was recently nominated for the NME’s Best Small Festival award. Voting is now closed but the winner will be announced next week.

Weekend tickets are a steal at £30 and available to buy at uni, The Harley, The O2 Academy and Leadmill.
