First year robbed of £2000 worth of stuff in Endcliffe

Then posted a strange video about it

First year law student Nicklas was left less than impressed on Wednesday evening, after he claims his Macbook, PS4 and wallet were stolen from his bedroom in Endcliffe.

He posted an anger-fuelled rant on the ‘University of Sheffield Firmers 2014-2015’ Facebook page, complete with a video of himself surveying the damage, which has clocked up nearly 180 likes.

Nicklas, originally from Finland, told Facebook he had been eating ‘a fucking good dinner’ in the kitchen of his ground floor flat in Endcliffe, when he claims cheeky thieves broke in through the window and fled the scene with some of his most beloved possessions.

“After being done with dinner I went to my room to chill for a bit and noticed that something wasn’t right. The TV on my desk was in a totally different spot than before and then it hit me, my PS4 and my laptop were stolen and the window in my room had been destroyed.” he said.

Nicklas said he then realised that his wallet was missing too, which had in it his Finnish National ID card and bank cards. He claims they even took his Coffee Revolution loyalty card – heartless bastards.

“I called up the accommodation reception and they came over to conduct an overview of the situation. They asked me a bunch of questions and were really helpful on how to proceed with contacting the police and everything. The police came in with full-on C.S.I style fingerprint investigation stuff and handled it all really nicely.”

Nicklas said that had he only left his window slightly ajar before leaving his room to go into the kitchen.

Nicklas lives in Cratcliffe

“The restrainers we have on our windows are clearly not enough for keeping bitch-ass-motherfuckers from dropping by for an early Xmas sale.”

The Edge reception agreed to fix the battered window restrainers the next morning, which Nicklas, amidst his Facebook rank thanked them for.

The Endcliffe Village insurance policy states online that residents are eligible for up to £2000 in insurance pay outs for theft.

“Now here’s hoping that I get my stuff claimed by insurance and most importantly that this shit doesn’t happen to anyone else.” he said.
