These days to stand out on campus, shopping on the high street doesn’t cut it.

Get retro and win style points with The Tab’s guide to shopping vintage.

Cow, West St

You can’t miss the yellow walls of Cow as you walk on West Street. Cow offers the loudest jazziest prints and takes the effort out of vintage shopping with its organised layout.

It regularly holds student nights offering discounts so keep your eyes peeled for the next event.

Mooch Vintage, Westfield Terrace

Mooch is run by super friendly local Wayne. The shop is beautifully decorated throughout and it is easy to lose yourself in the rails.

Mooch offers classic vintage dresses and more student friendly vintage shorts, shirts, jeans and obligatory fur coat. Students also get a brilliant 10% discount.

Freshman’s, Carver St

Freshman’s has more crazy prints, denim jackets and vintage jeans than you could ever wish for. It’s also strong on retro sportwear and the prices are very reasonable too.

A New Shop, Division St

This quirky store has a good range of vintage Barbour jackets any country bumpkin or edgy kid could hope for, alongside knits and leather jackets. There is also a good selection of American varsity jumpers and Levi shorts. Recently a male barbershop was added to the back of the shop.
