Sheffield slips three places in Sunday Times rankings

But grad salaries are lower than London Met

| UPDATED

Sheffield came 21st in The Sunday Times Uni Guide, dropping from 18th last year.

But don’t count on a top 25 uni to guarantee you a high-paying job. Graduate salaries were only rated 38th in the country with an average of £21,120.

This is lower than both Brunel (ranked 47) and London Met (ranked 123).

And it’s not just academics whose standards are falling, as student satisfaction ranks 42nd in the UK.

Still it must have some magic, as the drop-out rates are relatively low. Sheffield placed 16th for both completion rates and research quality, nailing its reputation as a diverse member of the Russell Group.

And the SU was ranked at number one by the National Student Survey earlier this year. Not that anyone cares what they think.
