Freshers’ Week weather report: Sheffield is exactly how you left it

And now, the weather

| UPDATED

Grey. That’s the overall prognosis for Sheffield Freshers’ Week 2014.

This will not come as a surprise for returning students who will be far from alien to the concept of cloudy, South Yorkshire’s default weather setting.

So, how does the weather being entirely mediocre affect your Freshers’ Week plans? It probably won’t.

With rain being unlikely and temperatures looking to be completely average, nobody need make drastic changes to their planned West Street attire.

In fact, the weather this week will be irrelevant to many Sheffield party-goers – anyone who is three Five Pound Rounds deep into a Freshers’ Week bar crawl will be entirely immune to a chilly Yorkshire night. Or they’ll wake up having completely forgotten everything about the night before anyway.

Just don’t expect your Freshers’ ‘beach party’ to feel like you’re back in Malia. Sheffield is going to be pretty dreary this week, as it will most weeks until Christmas.
