How to heat your bedroom for 8p a day

Winter is coming … and he’s come up with a nifty solution to keep your bedroom warm without turning on the heating.

Most student houses are poorly insulated and most students don’t like being cold.

Luckily, YouTube user and Practical Boat Owner, Dylan Winter, has used science to save money on heating.

Here’s how:

  1. Get yourself some tealights – you can get 100 for £1 at Ikea and each one burns for about four hours
  2. Light four of them and put them in an normal-sized metal bread tin
  3. Get a ceramic flowerpot, block up the hole in the bottom with a tealight casing, and place it upside-down over the bread tin
  4. Get another, bigger, flowerpot and place this upside-down over the first one
  5. Marvel at science and feel a bit warmer

Yeah, Mr. Winter! Yeah, science!

BUT DON’T LEAVE IT UNATTENDED. Sometimes science goes wrong.
