Portsmouth rise seven places in Guardian rankings beating Sheffield, Cardiff and KCL

Are you actually surprised though

Portsmouth came 37th in the Guardian uni rankings, rising seven places from last year.

With a score of 65.9/100 we came above universities like Queens, Sheffield, KCL, Cardiff and Royal Holloway.

89.4 per cent of Porsmouth students said they were satisfied with their course, 88.9 per cent satisfied with teaching and 72.1 per cent were satisfied with their career after six months of graduating.

Cambridge came at the top of the rankings with a score of 100/100, closely followed by Oxford, Durham, St Andrews and Bath.

This comes after Portsmouth was ranked one of the top 100 universities in the world by The Times last month.

Second year Siobhan said: ” It’s amazing and surprising to see Portsmouth so high on the rankings, it definitely motivates me to want to do my MA here.

“It’s surprising as all my other friends at uni kind of snub Portsmouth as a polly uni and not as good as theirs – this proves them wrong.”
