Oxford students get the most firsts and 2:1s, according to the Good University Guide

Obviously

Oxford has bagged second place in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 rankings.

In the new tables, seen first by The Tab, Oxford also gave offers to the most state school applicants ever.

Okay, so we didn't manage to move Cambridge off the top spot, but there's still plenty to brag about.

For one, we're the best uni in the UK for business studies, linguistics, medicine, philosophy, and psychology.

If that's not enough, we've got the highest proportion of students getting a first or 2:1 in the country. 98.2 per cent of Oxford graduates left with the top grades.

Oh, and we've got the second best completion rate in the UK – meaning once you get to Oxford, you stay here.

After a successful boycott of the NSS, we were left out of the results for teaching excellence and student experience, yet still managed to get our hands on a Gold award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

Add that to the best student to staff ratio in the UK, and it's looking like a good time to be at Oxford.
