Kanye is coming to the Oxford Guild TOMORROW

Yeezy season approaching

Kanye West Oxford Guild Yeezy

The Oxford Guild have done the impossible and got Yeezy himself to speak to students tomorrow afternoon.

Kanye West will be speaking at 3pm on Monday at the Museum of Natural History, and based on his track record the talk will be unmissable.

With a new album expected to release over the next few weeks, recently revealed to be called “So Help Me God”, is there a chance he’ll even give an impromptu performance?

Kanye’s been in the news recently for his emotional interview with Zane Lowe, his fiery Brits performance and his almost-outburst at the Grammys. That’s along with his new Adidas shoe and clothing line that’s been selling out at record speeds.

And the talk comes hot on the heels of his latest single reveal at the Brits last week, All Day.

The Guild will be releasing tickets in three stages: at 12AM, 2AM and 9AM. Students successful in the ballot will be emailed a link that will allow them to buy tickets – as long as they pay up within 2 hours.

According to the Eventbrite page, “If you cannot purchase your ticket in that time for any reason we will randomly select another person who has balloted and release one for them.

“No tickets will be available on the door. You will only be notified if you have been successful.”

It’s expected that demand for the talk will be huge. At the time of writing the event has been live for just over an hour, with 759 people already attending.

The Guild say that Yeezy is just the first in a long line of speakers they’ve arranged for this year. They’ve yet to announce the rest of the lineup.

In a press release, Guild chairman Abbas Kazmi said: “We are very excited to be hosting such an inspiring and high profile a speaker as the legendary Kanye West and expect it to be a fascinating and memorable event.

“It is great to see the hard work pay off after having spent many hours negotiating against the odds and keeping things under wraps to secure this event which is a real coup for the Guild which I am proud to see continuing to grow from strength to strength, reaching even higher heights and winning ever more national awards and accolades.”
