Best Dressed: Union Prohibition Party

The very best dressed at the Union’s twenties themed Prohibition Party

Last week’s Union party saw Oxford’s most stylish descend on the debating chamber for a night of twenties themed fun.

It was a richly retro night- from cocktails in tea cups (inspired by bootleg prohibition days) to a jazz band in full swing. The vintage theme called for flapper dresses, extravagant head bands and more trilby hats than you could shake a stick at.

Here’s the very best looks from the night:

We love how this party go-er has matched the rich tones of his blazer to the Union’s ancient manuscript book bindings

From the beautiful headband to the chic fur trimmer collar, this girl accessorises with the theme perfectly, without going OTT

This shimmering satin dress stood out on the dance floor. The pop of colour from the statement lipstick is an unexpected twist that modernises the retro look.

An all over embellished dress gives full on glamour

Proving you didn’t have to go all out vintage to look well, these two daper suits caught our eye
