A 20 year old woman was sexually assaulted at 2:30 am on Saturday morning whilst walking home from the city centre.

The Cowley Road

The attacker is accused of following the woman before inappropriately touching her in the street.

The girl managed to push him away and run off.  She is not believed to have been harmed during the incident.

The suspect is described as being either black or Asian, about 6ft tall, with short black hair. He was wearing a white hoodie with a red zip. The lining of the hood was also red.

The Thames Valley Police website offers the following advice:

  • Try to avoid walking home alone at night. Wherever possible, use public transport and travel with friends.
  • Don’t walk along talking on your mobile phone. You may not be fully aware of what is going on around you.
