VIDEO: Protestors unveil ‘FUCK YOU WILLETTS’ banner during Union debate

Anti-cuts protestors take on David Willetts and Spencer from Made In Chelsea

A debate over higher education was disrupted by yet another demonstration at the Oxford Union.

Two protestors unveiled a banner and chanted anti-cuts songs from the balcony as the Minister of State for Universities and Science, David Willetts, was speaking.

The banner read ‘Fuck You Willetts (And Made In Chelsea Is Shit Too)’, a jibe at Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews who was also speaking in the debate.

As the video shows, the protestors had sneaked their banner into the balcony of the Union for the debate that  higher education was a right, not a privilege.

The banner was unveiled with accompanied chanting while one student was making a point of information to David Willetts, who was at the time arguing that higher education was indeed a right.

According to a security guard, the protestors were not members of the Union.

Spencer Matthews, who had been arguing in opposition to the motion, was an exhibitionist all evening and during this encounter it was no different.

After about a minute, the protestors were removed.

As Spencer did a mock ‘Fuck Off!’, David Willetts brought the house down with lolz by saying he “always preferred The Only Way Is Essex”.
